| Diaphragm |
Flexible membrane in a valve that deflects down onto a rigid area of the valve body to regulate water flow from the supply lines. This eliminates the possibility of debris build-up within the valve. |
| Diverter |
Valves which direct water to various outlets. They are used in showers, tubs, bidets, and sinks. |
| Drain |
The primary vessel for waste fluids to be drawn away from the source and to the disposal location. |
| Dual Flush Toilet |
Toilet with two different settings, one for liquid removal and one for solid removal. It flushes 0.8 gallons of water for liquid and 1.6 gallons for solid. They use 2,500 gallons average annually compared to a standard toilet that uses 4,500 gallons a year. |
